Enter the world of karting
Tyro Mini was created to become a low-cost entry into the world of karting for drivers aged from 10 to the year of their 16th birthday. There is no other class of karting that exists for this age group that offers such value for money and delivers such close racing.
Tyro Mini karting is where it all started. Most drivers have joined Tyro Mini with indoor karting or corporate outdoor karting experience. In fact, the past 3 Tyro Mini Champions started their karting journey at indoor karting. Over the past 12 years, drivers have progressed into other Junior kart classes, (which now includes Tyro Junior Rotax) single seater, and saloon car racing.
Mini Tyro is all about the driver
Drivers compete against each other with the same equipment, and if you want to go quicker, improve your driving. What you cannot do is spend money to go quicker, it all comes from the driver.
Drivers learn to be quicker through:
- Driver coaching which is available from the Tyro Racing team
- Experience gained over time
- Following the more experienced driver during practice days
- Above all, being able to listen to feedback and take advice
If you can race indoor karting or corporate outdoor, you can be competitive in Tyro Mini!
The key component is equal equipment, all the karts are the same specification.
